The Barry Company, a leading southeast Wisconsin commercial real estate company headquartered in downtown Milwaukee announced today that 2077 Investors, LLC has sold its 11,965 sq. ft. industrial property located at 2077 S. 116th St., West Allis, WI to Julien Investments, LLC on June 1, 2022.
David Barry of the Barry Company represented the seller in this transaction. The building most recently served as office space. “During the pandemic, office space consumption decreased substantially, and we had to find a different purpose for the building,” commented Barry. “We felt that the building would work well as a “flex” building, with a combination of office and warehouse space, and we felt that market was slightly underserved. We marketed the property as such and immediately found a tenant for the property. Because the owner wanted to sell the building, we ultimately completed the lease and then sold the building as an investment, thereby capitalizing on a strong investment market for commercial and especially industrial property.”

Water Street Restaurant Property Sold

David Buckley brokers commercial sale
MILWAUKEE, January 3, 2022 – The Barry Company, a leading southeast Wisconsin commercial real estate company headquartered in downtown Milwaukee announced today that RJ Wood Industries, Inc. has purchased the building it has been leasing for the past two years at 4550 Hron Rd. in West Bend, Wisconsin from its landlord Avon II, Inc. The deal closed on December 22, 2021.
Both buyer and seller were represented by David Buckley of the Barry Company. “2021 was a huge year for industrial real estate,” commented Buckley, “This deal and others like it are perfect examples of the staggering demand for industrial inventory.” Buckley explains that the lease agreement included and option to purchase after two years, which RJ Wood Industries was glad to capitalize on.
RJ Wood Industries provides project management, design and engineering for commercial and retail cabinetry, millwork and retail fixtures. The company has worked with several high-profile clients such as Kohl’s and the YMCA. Jill Martin, a co-owner of the business, explains that this purchase allows the company to create a better environment for both employees and customers. Martin says the space has been remodeled to include a cleaner and more desirable space for employees. She also says that by buying the building they can create “a larger and more efficient facility to service our growing customer base.”
