Milwaukee commercial building sold; will become memorial hall
The Barry Company represents Seller in transaction
WGLB Scholarship In Memory of Joel J. Kinlow, Inc. has purchased the 12,852 square foot commercial building located at 7841 W. Appleton Ave., Milwaukee.
Rev. Kinlow was well-known within in the Milwaukee area, having developed television station WJJA TV 49, as well as bringing 24-hour gospel radio to the area with WGLB AM 1560 and 100.1 FM. He also ran a laundry and dry cleaning business, Children’s Trinity Daycare, Dollar J Store and WGLB Records in Milwaukee, as well as being part of numerous real estate investments. Kinlow passed away June 7, 2016 at the age of 77.
The family of Rev. Kinlow purchased the property in his memory to offer a hall and banquet facility for community gatherings.
